Interview Microphones Can't Post

What type of handheld mic's are others using for standard reporter style shots? I've been using Shure SM48/SM58's and they give great quality sound. I've recently purchased mic flags with our school news logo on them and the stems of the microphones seem a little short. Are there any recommendations when purchasing a couple more for next school year?

I like Electrovoice 635A mics. Great quality dynamic mic that is virtually indestructable. I have some that are over 25 years old that my students have put thru virtually every accident known to man. All of 'em still work beautifully!

Electrovoice EV 635 is an industry standard. It is manufactured in 2 lenghts and 2 colors: grey and camera black, the longer one will work with a mic flash.
