No Sound After Recording Can't Post

After recording a television show, I get picture but no sound. It doesn't seem to be the tapes because even a new tape doesn't work. A while ago it did the same thing and then it started to record the sound again, but all of a sudden it started back up again. I haven't done anything new, so I am not sure how to solve the problem. How can I fix this?

What software are you using to capture the video from the TV? Are you passing it through the camcorder? If you are then you need to select USB Audio device in the imagemixer, considering that you ARE using imagemixer.

Try to set ImageMixer using USB Audio Device. Open ImageMixer, and select USB, at top right coner, you will see a tool sign, click it, under USB capture device, select USB Audio Device. Don't select "SONY DIGITAL Imaging Audio".
