Not able to use my Sony DCR PC5E camcorder as capture device Can't Post
I am not able to use my camcorder as a capture device for Window movie maker or Ulead video studio. On and off it may work for 5-10 sec, then stop totally recognising. Webcam works well. I tried disconnecting webcam. No effect.
Could anybody please help.

HI Abdul/Joe
I have been facing same problem with my camcorder Sony DCR PC9E. but I am trying to capture video using USb port 2.0 as I don't have IEEE port/firewirw/cardbus slot on my notebook unfortunately.
I happened to be tring this for along but installed software(windows movie maker/ImageMixer/MGI vieoWave) does not recognise video capture device.) Could you please help me out and explain me what has gone wrong with my settings.
One thing I have noticed that in window movie maker when I click on record option , it shows me video device as logitech web cam traveller ( that I have installed for my logitech web cam earlier) . in change video option, I can not see sony USB video driver )
I will appreciate if you let me know the cause of error .
