Recording from a TV/VCR Can't Post

Please help me!!! I have to copy videos(not illegally). I have a VCR/TV combo and a VCR. I have read both manuals, tried AV cables and have not been successful. Could anyone tell me what I might be doing wrong, and is it possible with a TV/VCR combo?Thank You.

Re: Recording from a TV/VCR Can't Post

It should work in either direction, but for simplicity, let's use the standalone VCR as the player and your TV/VCR as the recorder.
Hook an RCA cable (yellow plug) from the video OUT jack of the VCR to the video IN jack of the TV/VCR. Do the same for the left and right audio jacks of the two units.
Set the TV/VCR to the correct input. This may be a button on the unit, on the remote control, or in a setup menu. The input will be labeled something like "LINE" or "L1".
Turn both units on, and put the tape to be copied in the VCR, and a blank tape in the combo unit. Play the tape in the VCR. You should see the picture on the TV monitor of the combo unit. Hit REC.

What happens if I did all these things and when the picture comes up, it looks like it has tracking problems (fuzzy line coming down every couple of minutes and the colors change)?
thank you,
still confused

Hello, I tried these instructions. Nothing will record. What do I do with the antenna? Or the cord that goes in to the TV/VCR? I have a cable with three heads - a red one, a yellow one, and a white one. Is that the right cable to use in the Video and Audio In/out? Help.
