Stuck on vcr to vcr Can't Post

I have read all the old posts about vcr to vcr recording but none seem to help me because both my vcr are being connected to each other throught the input and output sockets because both of the vcrs dont have the audio and video jaks. When I try recording with vcr 2 it does not record what is playing in the playback vcr, I have tried everything from setting both vcrs to au channel, both vcrs to the video channel (channel 29 if ur interested) and i have tried swapping both vcr's round, it does not make sense why it wont record.

Play VCR 1 - out - to Record VCR 2 - in
I would set VCR 2 - out - to TV to monitor what is happening.
If you don't see it on the TV, then the signal is not going to VCR 2. Use RCA jacks if available; they tend to be more reliable than co-axial cables. The Record VCR 2 must be set to receive on the "in" terminal you use...Antenna 1 or 2, or aux 1, or L1 or L2, etc. etc. This input can usually be changed with a button on the VCR or on the menu from your clicker.
