TRV30 standby/auto shut off by-pass? Can't Post

I have a Sony TRV-30 that I would like to use inside a water housing. I would like to know if there is some way of by-passing Sony's standby/auto shut-off when the camera is on "standby?"
My thanks in advance for any help or suggestions.
Best Regards,
Mark

Mark, if you leave the tape out of the camera, or at least leave the cassette door open, the unit will never enter standby or auto shutoff. However, this may defeat your purpose.
Doesn't your underwater housing have an external on/off switch? Or, if it doesn't, can you simply use 80 minute tapes and start the camcorder just before you dive? 80 minutes will cover an entire dive and then some, if I recall the breathing times advertised for most tanks.
