VCR / Monitor Can't Post

I'm hooking up a nanny cam, but I can't get a picture. I'm wondering what I am doing wrong. I have the RCA cables "out" of the video/audio of the camera and "in" video/audio for the vcr. The tv is on channel 3 (as normally), the vcr channel has been everywhere from 1-99 searching for a picture. Does it matter that cable tv is also "in" the vcr? I'm assuming there is something simple I'm not bright enough to catch. Any ideas? Thanks much.

Re: VCR / Monitor Can't Post

Chances are you just need to have the vcr set to "input 1" or "line in"...something like that. Your remote should have an "input select" button. Press that and you should be able scroll thru the different inputs. If you see the screen change but still not your image then it's probably a hook-up error.
Good luck!!!
