Use two VCR's and two tapes. One tape is to be copied; the other should be blank. (The VCR itself does not record anything...it must use a tape!). Connect the two VCR's - OUT from the Playing Tape - to IN on the recording VCR with a blank tape. Use a coaxial cable (OUT to IN) or use RCA plugs (yellow, red , and white to corresponding color jacks on the back of each - OUT to IN). Make sure the recording VCR is set to receive at the plugs you choose....antenna (coaxial), aux, L1 or L2, etc. Push record on the blank tape and start the play on the tape to be copied. A TV can be connected and used as a monitor to make sure you are sending and receiving the signal.

Re: VCR tape to VCR [In reply to] Can't Post

I, too, have been trying to find the correct way to dubb tapes on the VCR...copy them. I want to copy a VCR tape onto a blank tape. If ayone has any suggestions that are easy to follow, please let me know. Just title the email: "VCR Dubbing". I knew it had something to do with audio and video in/out but I need easy step by step instructions. HEEEEELLPPPP! My 1 yr. old loves Teletubbies and I want to copy a friend's tape she recorded the other day, off the TV, for him to watch. Thanks!!!
Thank you!!
