What are the signs of fried CCD's?

What are the signs of fried CCD's?	Can't Post

what are the signs of fried ccd's for a canon gl2? i filmed the sun for a good 5
min, cause i found some nice looking colors in the reflection from the sun..but
when i took it inside..the lcd screen was black, same with the eye peice..and
the shutter automatically went to 500...but even if i put it to 60 (normal) it is
still black, but i can see some bright lights of lamps and such...i am wondering
if this is because i "fried" my ccd's or..something happened else that i dont
know about..if anyone knows..please contact me. thanks
