head phones on sony vx 2000 dv	Can't Post

HELP Is there something I am unaware of that I have to do to make the headphones work on my sony VX 2000? I need to monitor sound. As soon as I jack-in all sound stops to monitor (this is correct) but no sound comes out of the headphones. Head phones work ( I have tried three pair) is there something I am missing here?

Sounds like something wrong with the camcorder's headphone jack. It's probably Service Center time.
