My sony camcorder will not accept the tape if i take the tape out it closes automatically and shuts if i try to put a tape in it wont load the tape i lost my owners manual.
It is a SONY STEADY SHOT CCD TR83 NTSC

You could have a bad tape that is warped or jammed. Try a different tape to make sure the tape is not the problem.
