: : I purchase a Digital JVC camcorder a few years back and the software is for Window 95/98. I now have Windows XP and it won't even recognize the disc is in the drive. Please help. : I have that problem with a lot of older Windows software. Unless you want to trade your camcorder in for a new DV or Digital 8 model with a Firewire interface to your computer, you may have to simply install Win 98 on your computer in a separate disk partition, and run under the old OS when you want to do video editing. My question is "How do you install Windows 95 or 98 on a separate disk partition?" How do you run this when you want to do video editing? I like to make cards with my camcorder pictures...and my husband bought me a new computer...it is frustrating that I can't do the main thing I like to do because I have a new computer. Thanks Katrina : JLIP is a JVC proprietary editing protocol, and there isn't much that uses it except certain pieces of JVC equipment. : Regards, : Doug Graham
