taping using 2 vcrs Can't Post

I am trying to copy a wedding video. I am using a Toshiba TV/DVD/VCR Combo as the recording player and a stand alone Toshiba VCR as the playback vcr. I have followed the directions in the manual but while the audio transfers to the new tape the video does not. I have used two different video cords but the same thing happen's. I get sound but the screen is black. Does anybody know why this is happening.
I have the connections video and audio out on playback vcr and video/audio in on recording combo. I just don't understand why audio will copy but not the picture.
My Mother couldn't make it to the wedding cause she was sick and is dying to see it. So please help before she decides to come out here and visit!!!

Have you selected the line input in your recorder? Must be in the remote control. If you followed all the direction, then, can you try using the DVD/VCR combo as playback and the stand alone VCR for recording? You have to switch the connection. Hope this helps.

Have you considered asking your videographer for another copy? He may give you one for free. If not, copies are usually no more than $30-40...and the quality will be much better than you can achieve by dubbing a VHS copy yourself.
Not only that, but most wedding videos (like wedding photos) are copyrighted. Making unauthorized copies is illegal...and even though it's almost certain you won't be caught and prosecuted, it's still taking money out of the pocket of honest videographers.
