i would like to know if i can do that i have a Sony DCR-VX2000 NTSC. any comment will help thanks. btw i would like to use it in msn messenger 6.

Yep, no problems here. I use a GL1 as a webcam from time to time. Just plug
it in to the firewire port on my mac and good to go.
