.SLV file??? Trying to create video for flash website Can't Post

Can anyone tell me what an .SLV file is? A company has hired me to take some video footage to be used in a flash website. The web designer said something about it needing to be in .slv format. Any ideas on how to do this conversion? Thanks.

Apparently .slv is a file extention associated with a "content management system" called Silva. I personally know nothing about this, but the following link should at least get you going in the right direction. http://www.infrae.com/products/silva

Thanks, .flv makes sense. Any idea on how to do an .avi to .flv conversion? Been using Vegas 6 and Premiere. Thanks.

I advise to re-read the info about this converter. There is written in features " Video conversion to FLV "Pirate

I noticed it says the videos play in Flash 6,7,8 so I based on that I assume it's using the older .FLV encoders which you can usually find at numerous places for free. Considering the older FLV's don't support metatags and you have to build your own netstreamcode for file sizes. This geovid is best used for encoding video to .SWF. Unless you want to write your own actionscripts with the older version of FLV.

I would suggest using a Flash 8 encoder since it utilizes the On2 codec and supports cue points if you wanted to chapter your .FLV for example.
