Anyone had experience with this stabiliser? Can't Post

Has anyone used or had experience with the Varizoom Navigator stabilizer. I am really interested in purchasing this (or something very similar in price and functionality) for weddings and other events I do.

B&H has got this with a Glidecam 4000 as a bundle price. What I like here is that you get the Glidecam AND a stabilizer, its just the functionality of the stabilizer that worries me a bit. None of the local folk have these things so I can't test and feel:

Any comments would be appreciated

Thanks

I don't have the navigator but do use the GT. I believe the harness & arm/spring mechanism is the same. I like the GT. I can use both my PD150 and my DSR250 on it. Once I have it balanced for either camera, I can have it on/off in about 1 minute. The main thing I would look at with the Navigator is if whatever device you use to hold the camera will balance the camera. If it does not, then the whole thing will be useless. The vest & arm helps transfer the grunt work to more of your body. Another thing to consider is that there will not be a monitor other than the camera's LCD. This could be a problem when you yaw the camera to the right and you can't see the LCD.

I believe the DSR250 is slightly heavier than the Z1/Fx1 (my cams).

As I said in my post, B&H are offering a bundle package with the Glidecam 4000 which allows me to use independantly as well (my thought anyway). I plan to slap a monitor onto it as well which should add stability to the system from a balance point of me, unless I'm wrong.
