Best Capture Cards... Can't Post

Still fresh and dabbling with idea of starting a business. I currently have a capture card called the Kworld PVR883. Its an alright card, but not good for professional video at all. The video I record on it looks horrible on my big screen TV anyway. Plus it doesn't have any video outputs, and Adobe Premiere Elements won't cooperate with it.

So, what's the best capture card out there for around $150 to $250? I've been looking at the Canopus advc100 on Ebay. What do you think? What else is comparable or better? Is the advc100 the route to go if I go with Canopus?

the advc is a good capture device for use with analog sources, you will also need a firewire card for your computer. it will also alow you to output to either a composite or svhs source. It is a lower end capture device but I have one at home and 3 at work and have never had any problems with them.

Doesn't the ADVC-100 have its own Firewire port?

Oh yeah, that's right...it's an external box. I'd forgotten. Blush

Here's one from Canopus that's an internal card...looks like it might be the successor to the DV Storm:
