Capture problem Can't Post

i have a sony dcr tr7000, which has firewire and composite outputs. im goign on a missions trip this summer and the computer im goign to be editing on has only a usb port, no firewire and no port for an interchangeable card. pinnacle dvc's are almost exactly what i need, except their resolution peaks at 320x240. thats not good enough. any ideas how i can get video on the computer?

Use a PCMCIA Firewire card inserted into the aux. card slot of your laptop. If you don't even have a PCMCIA card slot, then your laptop is probably too puny to edit video anyway.
