DVD... more than movies Can't Post

Hi all...

Hope I can get a little of this answered here.. if not.. send me to another site!
My client and I are working on a project that is an Instructional/Training DVD.
He wants to put the movie production on the DVD (no problem)
BUT he also wants to put on other files.. like Word Documents and Read Me files...

Is the process as simple as adding the Audio_TS and Video_TS folders on a DVD.. with the other files.. and just burn them with, say, my Roxio program..?? or is there something much more complicated than this to put these files on the DVD... YET .. still allow the DVD to play normally in a DVD player ( so the Audio-TS and Video_TS files are not disturbed - and the video plays normally)

Thanks ahead of time!

Yeah, you can put whatever files you want on the DVD, but the set top player will ignore everything except the Video_TS and Audio_TS folders. When you pop that disc into a computer drive then you can explore it and get to the other files.

I can concure with Will. I just made a hybrid DVD as my exit portfolio for Master's program. I put many things in video format on the DVD and then I put complete papers and other documents in PDF form on the DVD for people to open on a computer. This gives the user the option to use a regular desk-top player or a computer. I put little titles to tell people that complete documents could be accessed from a computer by simply opening the DVD. I used Nero and just made a data DVD that had the VIDEO_TS folder on there and then all the other files seperate. It worked very well, but understand that there may be a slim amount of DVD players that may give an error if it senses other files on the DVD. It should be a very slim number, but unfortunately that is the nature of the business.

Good luck,

Adobe Encore makes it easy to hybrid.. Just point to the folder you want to include the files.. I usually build a menu button for a button labeled "Extras", which brings up a menu on the tv with instructions on how to take it to the PC and access the resource files..
