DVD Authoring Can't Post

I want to ask if anyone knows the best way to encode video to DVD. Using Final Cut Pro I either use Quicktime conversion to render out the files or Compressor. The quicktime conversion method only allows for about an hour of video on DVD. Compressor takes waaaaaayyyyy too long. (i.e. 12 hrs for a 45min clip) Anyone have experience using IDVD?
