Flash player won't play my videos Can't Post

I successfully installed the Fash Player from Adobe by uninstalling previous versions as they recommend. When I link to my blog in a post, I can not use that link to bring up the player. I can play the videos direct from the blog but not using the links posted on the forum. Where should I look to correct this problem? The Adobe support seems to focus on the installation, which went fine.

TIA
Dan Lewis

Re: [DanLewis] Flash player won't play my videos [In reply to] Can't Post

Are you linking to the .flv file? If that is the case flash player will not play it. Playing the .flv file from your blog actually brings up a SWF player to play it.

I could be wrong though - it's happened before...

That is because your blog has a SWF player in it. Flash Player will play SWF files, not FLV files.

What is the difference between Adobe Media Player and Adobe Flash® Player? The Adobe Flash Player runtime is a cross-platform browser extension that plays back SWF and FLV/MPEG-4 content within web pages when a user is online. Adobe Media Player is a cross-platform desktop application specifically designed to play back streamed or downloaded FLV or MPEG-4 video content when users are online or offline. It offers a wealth of features for discovering, organizing, and subscribing to video content — even automatically downloading subscribed episodes so they can be viewed anytime.

What you need is Adobe Media Player http://get.adobe.com/amp/
