Gold overtone room Can't Post

I noticed that a lot of venues have beige walls, beige table clothes, beige carpet all, even with the camera white balanced, gives the video a gold overtone - too warm.

I want the colors to be vibrant and jump. I thought about using white balance correcting cards but I'm not sure that is the solution. Has anyone used anything that 'cools' the photo in a warm room - a filter, white balance cards, gel, etc.

There is regular dimmed incandescent lighting and usually no windows. A camera light doesn't seem to help. I correct as much as possible in post but if there is something else, please let me know.

If you correct the warm room colors, you'll cool your subject's skintones, making them look blue-ish. I'd rather have the warm gold room.

I agree. A little too warm is better than a little too cool. Especially for something like a wedding. You could always color correct in editing if you have a decent editing program.

If you're using an NLE, such as FCP, that has really good secondary color correction abilities, you can select the color range you want to correct without effecting the rest of the image.
