This has never happened to me before and I don't know what to do. I hope someone can help me. I'm writing this from our home computer because my other one has stopped running..... I was in the middle of a vegas editing project when this happened. My work computer is a Dell Dimension 8300, Pent 4 Processor, 2.66 Ghz, level 2 cache, BIOS version A-05, running Vegas 4. I was rendering a vegas project to avi (2.5 hours in length), when shortly into it, the screen went dark and the error message came as follows: KERNEL_STACK_INPAGE_ERROR It told me to 1. restart computer, (which I did by hitting the power button since CTRl/ALT/DLT didn't work) 2. if problem continues,. disable or remove any newly installed hardware (the only thing that's new is the new Pioneer A09-XL DVD drive I installed 3 days ago. and it's been working fine, 3. disable BIOS memory options such as caching or shadowing. (which I don't know how to do). The other things that come up are: *Problem detected with Array: 1 I went into another screen that showed system info and it lists the following: SATA Primary Drive Off SATA Secondary Drive Off Primary master drive Off Primary slave drive Off Secondary Master Drive CD-Rom Device IDE UDMA On The CD-Rom drive, keyboard and the mouse work, but it looks like everything else is OFF. What happened? What do I do? Please help. I have to get this working again and get my video files. Is my computer toast? Thanks, Rabbit
