How long can a firewire cable be? Can't Post

This week I observed a production company capturing straight from the camera to the laptop by firewire.

I find this a very effective method.

Now I wonder how long you can make a firewire cable without loss of quality.

Thanks,

Greetings,

Laurent

I have used 75 foot cables and seen 150 foot ones advertised.
