Panasonic PV-DV103 - Dew Detected Can't Post

One of my students came to me with her Panasonic PV-DV103 camcorder. It was giving the old "Eject Tape - Dew Detected" message. She tried opening the cassette door overnight and have even let it sit for a few days. Nothing is working. Any one ever have similar problems with this unit or any other for that matter? My thoughts are just a bad sensor that will need to be sent in for repairs. But does anyone have anything to try other than shipping it back to Panasonic? Cleaning cassette cannot play and I tried compressed air. Thanks!

If the cleaning cassette and the compressed air didn't do the trick, it'll probably have to go in for service.

Before sending it in, though, check out the illustrated guide to cleaning the tape path (of a Sony TRV-900, but there are plenty of similarities), at http://www.bealecorner.com Especially, check the capstan roller to see if there is any visible oxide buildup, and use a lint-free swaB and Head cleaning fluid to remove any contamination you find.

I can repairs this item for a fair price. I run a listing on eBay for this very thing.
Please paste the following in the eBay search:
Panasonic PV-DV103 PV-DV203 Repair Service $45.00 Flat
If you are not an eBay member, please email me at chuckle@nktelco.net
for more info.
Thanks,

If you open the door where you plug in PV-DV103 to the Computer. then take out the Internal battery and take a hair dryer on low heat and dry inside where the Internal battery goes.Thats what i did and it fixed the prob.
