Please Help. VHS to Mini Dv Can't Post

Hi,

I have some video on VHS i urgently need to get onto my computer and i dont have a capture card.

I was told that you should be able to connect a minidv cam to the vhs player and record it but i cant work out how to do it?

I have a Panasonic Gs-150 and i am using the stock av cable to try and do it, where should i be plugged into? the tv or video player? input or output?

1. Unplug your TV, you won't need it.
2. Connect the OUTPUTs of the VCR to your camcorder using the A/V cable
3. Put a fresh tape in the camcorder.
4. Turn on the VCR and insert one of your source tapes.
5. Turn on the camcorder and place it in "VTR" mode.
6. Press REC and PAUSE on the camcorder's VTR controls.
7. Press PLAY on the VCR, and un-PAUSE the camcorder.

The picture you are recording should show up on the camcorder's LCD display.

If your camcorder has a "pass through" feature, you can skip the step of recording to DV tape, and use a Firewire cable to send the signal from the VCR through the camcorder and onto your computer's hard drive, using your NLE software's capture utility.

I don't believe the GS-150 has analog input capabilities.

I checked the Panasonic website, and you're correct. The **!?&#%!&^ camcorder has analog video OUTput only.
What a bummer. Unsure

Yeah, thanks for the help.

I paid a fair bit of money for that camera so it sucks it has not AV input, oh well.
