Premiere Pro transitions Can't Post

This is driving me crazy! For some reason whenever I try to a simple "cross dissolve" in Premiere Pro 2.0 I get, for want of a better term, a "ghost image" of a previously clip. I checked and both ends of the clips being used are free from this image. In fact the "ghost" is nowhere near these clips in the orginal footage. Does anyone have any ideas of what is happening? Is a file within Premiere corrupt? Any help would be appreciated!

This happened to me once and I do believe that your file is corrupt. If you go back to your original file and set your in and out points, then insert it back into the timeline you will find that the "ghost" image disappears. Hope this helps you.

Thanks for that suggestion, Linda. I will keep it in mind. You know, that ghost image problem
hasn't happened since that time last fall when we were having the problem, so it must have
been a corrupt file. We've had lots of other challenges since then, just not that one!

Thanks again!

Glad to hear that your "ghost" problem has vanished....no pun intendedSly.

Have a great day!
