Static Sound Can't Post

I have just used DVD Workshop for the first time. I exported from PP 1.5, generic mpeg. The sound is fine except near the end it has a little static in it, or some type of interference buzz, which is not terrible, but irritating. I went back to my project, and the sound is fine. Has anyone had this problem?

Go back to PPro and play your timeline while watching the audio meters (Window > Workspace > Audio, or SHIFT+F11). I think that you will find portions of your timeline where the audio is peaking/"in the red". Either lower the track/clip volume, or use keyframes to adjust the volume of the audio until it doesn't peak anymore.
This was a pretty common complaint with PPro when it was first released, since it doesn't distort until you export, it catches you off guard. You gotta check your meters to catch it. Good luck, hope this helps. Smile

Matt,

Thank you so much! You are always so helpful! You are probably right! I didn't even think to look at that because I never had that problem in 6.5. I had to raise the volume because they were speaking to low and that is probably what happened! THANKS!

Matt, I'm fixing my project now. Do you know if there is some type of patch for PP 1.5 so there are no surprises on export??

There is a PPro 1.5 patch, but I don't think it helps with this audio quirk.
The fix is just keeping an eye on the meters, as far as I know. You might try setting the work area bar over just a short section of timeline and export a small test to see if it is A-OK now.

FYI, the PPro 1.5 patch is here: http://www.adobe.com/...amp;platform=Windows

Thanks Matt! I just got home from an event and my project has finished outputting to my DVD program. I usually burn onto a rewritable & check it out, then I'll burn my copies. So I'll just reburn the whole project & check it in the morning. THANKS A MILLION!
