TIME LAPSE VIDEO 20HRS., PLEASE HELP!! Can't Post

FOR TOMORROW, I need to shot a 20 hours Time lapse video, from sunrise to midnight of the Downtown, including the Moon coming up at sunset, my client wants a smooth 10 seconds final video.
Please advice the best way to do it using a Sony VX2100.
Thanks, Diego

I'd use a digital still camera, if one is available. Set it to take one picture every 4 minutes, and make sure it has enough storage to hold 300 images.

If no digital still camera is available, I'd use the VX2100 as a camera, but NOT as a recorder. Instead, hook it up to a computer. Use Photoshop to capture an image from the camera every 4 minutes. You can write an Action to automate this using the Import, Save As, Close, and Pause commands.

Make sure the camera you use is on a STURDY tripod or other mount, is in an area where no one will walk in front of it or jar it, and that you have a reliable power source. Make sure the camera is pointed in the correct direction to capture the moonrise. NOTE: The moon will look a lot smaller than you think it will, even at full zoom. You may need to use a telephoto adapter (maybe even a telescope adapter) to get a large enough moon.

Thanks Doug for this great advice, I decided to do it with the camera on tape, recording 1sec. every minute, 20 minutes of video will be easy to edit, the final video will be for a web page, no need a super hi res.
thanks...

is time lapse a feature on most digital cameras, both still and video? i'd say most cameras over 1000 Euro would have that yeah?
