dvd burners burn and read dvd but don't read dvd rom	Can't Post

please help, as this issue is costing me in lost revenue. recently rebuilt system runs intel processor at 3.3 ghz and has two dvd burners, a pioneer 100d and a memorex 16X-ddl-ilo. the burners work fine to burn dvd and dvd-rom and read dvd but not data dvd, despite showing on the my computer screen that a dvd rom is in the drive. these burners made the dvd roms, and the dvd roms they made can be accessed on other computers. the error message goes something like this: "windows cannot read from disk. may be corrupt or damaged" however, like i said, the media works fine in other computers. i am of course running windows xp professional, service pack two. all firmware is updated, and the most recent direct x is installed. please help!!!!!
