locked vcr	Can't Post

I have a emerson vcr that is locked and i have no way of viewing a movie this has happened before and i have lost my manual and can't remember how to unlock it could someone please help.

If you have the model number that would be helpful. However, unless you have an important tape stuck in the unit you should just pitch it and get a new one. VCR's are pretty sheap now a days.

The simplest thing to try is to unplug it for a few minutes to reset it.

Do you have small button with the clock on it?
VCR may be in timer mode. If that's the case, turn timer mode off.
