sony vegas 5 Can't Post

does anyone in here have sony vagas 5 well if you do can you tell me how to add text over a clip in your timeline so you can see someones name typed in ,in the clip without the stupid blue text behind the font or faded in thanks

Not sure what you mean by the "stupid blue text". Sounds like maybe you have drop shadows turned on???

Vegas has a native titler. It also comes bundled with Boris Graffiti, or you can make titles in Photoshop and import them into Vegas as graphics.

Track 1: Text generated media
Track 2: Video

By default, the text generated media is WHITE with a transparent background allowing the video to show where there are no letters. I'm not sure what you mean by "stupid blue text".

"Stupid blue text" would suggest you've got Glow enabled. In the text dialog box, browse to the Effects tab, and disable drop shadows and Glow. There is also the potential that on your text track, you've got Glow enabled in Track Motion. The only oddity is that Yellow is the default for glow in both Track Motion and Text Effects, so you must have changed it at some point in time, so should know where it is.
