vcr recording thru rf modualtor Can't Post

I hope I dont sound like a dummie but...I have cable tv which comes into the house and is plugged into an rf modualtor. My dvd and vcr are also hooked into it then the cable goes from there to the tv. Everything works fine EXCEPT I cant record tv programs on the vcr, the vcr wont even recognize that I have any channels other then ch. 2, L1, and L2. Do I need to run the cable to the vcr and then to the rf or is there something else I need to do? Thank you for your time Wink

Assuming you have analog signals on your cable service, you must connect the VCR before the converter box. The VCR will then see the analog signals before the converter filters them out. There is usually another output connector on the VCR (RF Output) which will allow connecting your converter box after the VCR. Note: This connection precludes recording the premium channels (Pay-Per-View, digital, etc) from your cable service.

If that doesn't work, get back to us.

If your TV monitor has video and audio output terminals, you could also hook your VCR to them. However, that would preclude your recording a program while watching something else.
