DSR-250 For Sale SOLD Can't Post

SOLD

My much beloved DSR-250 is for sale. We went HDV in April and I have used the camera twice since then. It is in very good condition and includes three Sony BP-L40 Lithium Ion batteries, Sony BC-L70 dual charger, Sony VCT-U14 quick release tripod plate, and a Sony LC-400 camera case.

The hours are:
OPERATION
52 X 10H
DRUM RUN
47 X 10H
TAPE RUN
29 X 10H
THREADING
59 X 10H

Brand new, this kit with two batteries is $5000. I'm selling it for $2500.

Mark....does the 250 have a fixed lens with the 12x zoom like the 150? I know my business partner in the corp venture we rolled out is looking for a shoulder cam but needs one with big zoom.

Just curious.

This is how trading post ad's should be. Why not use the tools we have to sell stuff with visuals.

Very nicely done Mark.

Mark I gotta say I am tempted, but just concerned that it will be stored in a closet with my 2100's and pd170's whenever we are forced to go hd. Always wanted one of these cameras to play with though.

I have a couple of these cams and they are great. I do several events that run all day and having the ability to run continuously for 4 and 1/2 hours on a tape is very helpful.

Thanks Bob for making it even more tempting for me. They do seem like real workhorses though.

Hi Bruce,

Sorry for the delay in responding to your post. I was out of town. Since you have always wanted a 250 this is a great time to get one. The prices have never been better.

You don't have to store it in your closet with your 2100s and 170s. Sell all of the SD gear after you go to HD. There is always peope who are one full step behind the curve who are looking for good used gear. By that I'm not looking to start an SD vs. HD war. When a vast majority of videographers were shooting DV, there were still a lot of people looking to buy up their old S-Video and Hi8 gear.

Good job, Mark! I followed the eBay listing & you sold it for more than your original price quoted above!

So, all you VUers, keep looking here for great prices!

Yeah Mark I was following too. I was one of the early bidders, but did not go very high. Nice when something goes higher than you expect.

Re: [brucecleveland] DSR-250 For Sale [In reply to] Can't Post

Hi Bruce,

Thanks for following it. It's the first time I have sold a camera on eBay, so I wasn't sure how well it would do. Yes, it's very nice when something goes higher than you expect. I had about $5200 in the camera with the extended warranty, so to use the camera for 4 years at the cost of $2500 is good. You gotta love Sony's quality and the way they hold their value.

I had some great shoots with that camera. From LA to New York, the Goolsby Love Story, Moving Camera Techniques I and so many great weddings. I know it's silly to get sentimental about a camera. I'm just a sap I guess.
