Not 100% sure but I think what that means is it has a break out box that is mounted on the front of the computer for easy input. I may be wrong. I have talked Shane about the system before it was up for sale.

I do know it was built by a turnkey integrator out of quality parts. Just the NX board and Edius alone is worth over $1k new so the computer along with it including raid and all the other stuff is really a pretty good deal. I don't really use external monitor output often or I would be possibly interested.

I do think it is a pretty good price. If you are still in SD but playing with HD this system will just scream in SD land and give you a good start to begin playing with HD. If you wanted to move up down the road to a more robust HD system you would only need to build the system and drop in the NX board. This would save you lots of money at that point.

The expansion kit is the breakout box that is connected to the front of the machine and gives you various outputs plus component out to the HDTV for HD monitoring during editing.
