The Panasonic AJ-HD1400 is a compact 100Mbps DVCPROHD VTR with DVCPRO 50/25, DVCAM and DV Playback, HD-SDI and IEEE 1394 interface standard. This is the successor to the popular AJ-HD1200A deck and has a MSRP of $25,000. Additional features include: comprehensive assemble/insert editing capabilities controlled by RS-422 or IEEE1394, playback of both NTSC (480i) and PAL (576i) tapes, supports of worldwide HD formats including 1080/59.94, 1080/50i, 720/60p, 720/59.94p and 720/50p, built-in up/down/cross converter, 4:2:2 color sampling, multiple conversion capabilities between image formats and frame rates, digital audio with up to eight embedded channels, and AC/DC operation for either studio or field use.
