FS- Sony V1U-NEW DETAILS!! Can't Post

This camera is just turned one year old. I am original owner who bought it brand new from BH and have taken great care of it.

It was NEVER used to import a single second of video. The hours are shoot only.

It will also come with the Sony WA adapter which is $500 retail and two Lenmar high capacity batteries.

$2500 OBO.

HAHAHAH --- Okay.... This is Tony's wife Colleen typing as he only has use of one finger. Please excuse him - he is from England and obviously didn't understand FS. In fact, when he spoke to me, I thought he said FX! Communication problems - you should try living here... ha ha haWink

Anyway, I think we're all on the same page now. How about 2350 - ha ha.. You must admire his persistance.

Damn dude, where were you when I forked out the cash for my FX7 and $500 Wide Angle Adapter a couple of months ago!! Tongue That's a great deal for someone looking for a new cam...I would have LOVED to have the V1U over the FX7....no XLR and no 24p sucks!!! Good luck if you still have it! bump....

Sorry it took so long to respond.

Here are the numbers:

Operation:
55x10

Drum:
25x10

Tape Run:
14x10

Threading:
47x10

If someone can interpret these..that would be great. I am not exactly sure what they mean. Smile

Here are the numbers:

Operation:
55x10 The camera has been "on" for 550 hours. Rec + Play + pause + standby + on with no tape loaded time

Drum:
25x10 The drum (video heads) has been rotating with tape in contact for 250 hours

Tape Run:
14x10 The tape has been moving in contact with the head for 140 hours.

Threading:
47x10 A tape has been ejected (same as loaded) 470 (correction) times

If someone can interpret these..that would be great. I am not exactly sure what they mean. Smile

Re: [Bob A] FS- Sony V1U-NEW DETAILS!! [In reply to] Can't Post

thanks Bob!

I checked with a buddy and he said that Sony told them that they don't even think about repairing/replacing their tape drives until around 2500 hours so its in good shape.
