LOOKING for gently used Z5U or FX1000 Can't Post

Now that everyone is using the 5D or ordering the 7D, I am looking for a very good used Sony Z5U or FX1000. It will be my first step into HD.

Do yourself a favor and closely look at the panasonic HMC-150....You can get a brand new one for about the same price as a good used Z5. You would also have a 3 year warranty.

I was looking around on eBay and found this listing for you.

Sony Z5U

If you are worried about eBay, you can look at the seller. I'm pretty sure Pulse Cinema is Chris McGuinness. He may still be a member of this forum. When I got started in videography, he was one of the wedding video celebrities. His training DVD was one of my first tastes of wedding videography.

I still could sell you both of my FX1s for about the price of one used Z5UWink.

Be aware that the Z5U doesn't come with the compact flash recording unit. That is an extra add on.

Hey Tim,
I did have the chance to play with the HMC150, a friend of mine has one. I did like it, weight is nice, good in low light.
The work flow for me right now will not work.

If your computer cant handle AVCHD, remember that there is a converter to convert to DVCPRO HD which will edit even easier than HDV. If your scared of tapeless I would love to help. I have been tapeless for almost 3 years now, and have never looked back.
