Top Dawg housing Not too short...w/a advice Can't Post

Well my eBay Top Dawg housing arrived, and contrary to what Backscatter told me, there IS room for a wide/angle lens and filter for the HC-1 to fit in the Top Dawg. I also called Century Optics as Ihave their .65 hi-res wide angle 37mm thread lens. I ordered a diopter and asked if they had

used the HC-1 with any of their lenses. I was told yes they had, and that the .65 did not work too well, the image was soft. However they said their .55 w/a was very sharp and I ordered one. This is a very short lens leaving enougfh room for a filter AND the longer duration nmq71 battery. Plus it's only $95 and is a wider aspect lens :)

I am off to Australia next week and will report back on the HC-1when I return...

When you're back I'd be very interested in how it worked. I'm looking to do something similar around the 1st of the year. Definitely getting an HC1, just considering housing options for it.

thx,
