ATTN Mac Owners- the LG BR Drive WORKS!!! Can't Post
I finally got it to work! I am very excited because this is a good buy at $399. I had to jury-rig it a bit but it didn't take too long. (who says you can't hack a Mac?) I just hooked it to one of the "hidden" SATA ports on the motherboard. The reason it didn't mount before was because i had pulled out the Data cable when i was snaking the cable around my motherboard.



Thanks again to my man Jerome for pointing me in this direction. i am watching your Orlando clip on my drive right now!

Cool! Glad it worked for you... I'll be getting one of these soon. I may wait until faster quality printable BRD's come out though. Right now I only see 2x Imation Aqua-guards (glossy).

You you gotta figure how to burn a BRD on that MAC!

No..apparently "Toast give Mac users BR disk support" means only DATA reads and not video disks. Mad

Are you playing the DVDs in DVD Player or some other software?

Man.. now that the war is over, Steve needs to get off his butt and give the green light to the format they have been backing from the beginning. Seriously.. people are not ready for totally downloaded material.

Great news. So how long does it take to burn a full 25gb BRD? Its gotta be longer than 38 minutes. Copying 25gb from a slow usb 2.0 drive takes that long.

Looks like 4X is about it for now, and those are selling for roughly twice what 2X discs cost. http://www.google.com/...lu-ray+4x+blank+disc

They are internal so unless you have some sort of external SATA solution for iMac, than no.
