Bar-Mitzvah Pix Montage Song Can't Post

Hello,
I am making a picture montage for a young man's Bar Mitzvah, to be shown during the party. The mother had initially asked for 2 songs, but now does not like either (These were "The time to remember" Billy Joel and GreenDay "Time of ur Life"). Does anyone have any suggestions ?
Thanks
Laura

LOL I was goint to tell you that I like the song "LIfe Means So Much" by Chris Rice, but I don't think it will go since it is a Christian song... I would have to listen to the lyrics again ;)

Geez - you can't beat "Times..." by Green Day. Can't you talk her into it? Convince her it's appropriate? (This is why we don't let Client's pick the music flat out - they think too much about it -or sometimes not enough- AND their choices aren't always the best, limimted often by what they hear on the radio: that Biily Joel song is not contemporary for a 13 year old boy today). I really try to urge them to let us pick the music. We have much more experience in many more different situations. Sometimes songs that fit perfectly that the Client was never aware of prior to the video.
I think Green Day is perfect. Another song, though less sentimental and more "fun" is "All Star" by Smash Mouth. I know- for me- I usually don't get hit with an inspiration for a song until I see the pics on the screen and get a "feel" for the video. Sometimes this requires more editing later by tightening up or speeding up transitions/movement, but that's me - I'm anal.
Another popular song from a few years ago is Natalie Merchant's "these are the DAys" which works well over the younger pics, though it may be a little outdated now, esp for a boy, when it's shown in front of his friends who could goof on him if it's too sappy. But it may work. At least better than that Billy Joel selelction (and I LOVE Billy Joel.)
Hope this helps, even a little.

I don't know how it's going to work yet, but my
first (and probably last) Bat-Mitzvah has requested
"Circle of Life" from the Lion King soundtrack.
Apparently, she saw it on a Bar-Mitzvah video
and liked it.
