Brochure creation. Any recommendations? Can't Post

Where/how do you make your brochures? (make your own vs. order professionally) Can you recommend any companies that have good quality at a reasonable price?

I ordered their sample pack and was pleased with the quality of the paper and the printing. It's still $395 for 5,000 which ends up being "more" brochures than what I want and more money than I want to pay. So far I've been making my own. Now if someone would offer me 1,000 for $199 - - and they were of good quality 4 color, I'd go for it.
