I collaborate with the couple about the scenes we want to do but from then on it's pretty much a one-man production. I write the screenplay, storyboard, shoot, and edit the production (my wife occasionally comes out to shoot behind-the-scenes footage). We usually try to cover everything in one day (8 hours), shooting scenes with the most people first. If we don't finish or if I find that we need to add a scene after a rough edit, we will schedule pick-up shots which only takes an hour or two. Production cost is very minimal other than maybe some costuming. They are a lot of fun to do and the "premiere" at the reception is well worth all the hard work. Here's an entry on our blog regarding some of our pre-production process: blog _________________________________________________ red5blog
