Dallas PVA Double Header -- Edit 1 Media and the Von Lankens! Can't Post

Howdy y'all!!

I just wanted to get the word out there that we will be speaking at the Dallas PVA meeting this Thursday. Chris and I have a corporate shoot in Dallas tomorrow so we decided to stick around a few days to talk about how adding in corporate work has increased our bottom line and how we are getting even MORE business despite the tough economy. We've got some videos to show and hopefully some gems of info to share on how to take your corporate work to the next level.

Also, Mark and Trisha Von Lanken will show a side-by side comparison of the same video shot by the Panasonic HMC150, and Sony Z5! See the results first hand and decide what works best for your video needs.

And then I heard a rumor that there may be some partying going on afterwards. :) Hope to see you there!!

Oh, how I wish I was in Dallas this week!
Had I known earlier, I might even have flown down there just for this opportunity.

Are you planning any trips to Southern California in the near future?

Hi Laura,

Trisha and I are looking forward to seeing you guys and all of the DFW-PVA gang.

We are going down early Thursday morning so I can shoot some low light comparisons between the Z5 and HMC150. Then we will have enough time to put together an edit so everyone can see side by side how the cameras stack up.

Very cool. I have NO IDEA what Brian has planned for us during the day on Thursday. Another one of his crazy tours I guess. Hopefully there will be no graveyards involved this time! LOL!!

Hi Laura,

It was great seeing you and all of the DFW-PVA group. It was almost like a homecoming seeing so many videographers that I haven't seen in over a year. LaDonna posted some pictures on facebook for any of you who want to see what you missed.

Next stop, Austin, Houston and then on to St. Louis.

Hi Mark!

It was great seeing you and Trisha and all the Dallas crew as well! It went by WAAAY too fast and we had tons of fun! I wish you guys could have come to the Glass Cactus with us. It was a great time! Our next stops look to be Honolulu, Detroit and Boston! What are you guys saving your frequent flier miles for? :)

I have traveled soooo much in the last few weeks that my head is spinning. It's mostly been for corporate shoots, but it's been a lot of fun too! We were in Dallas for a corporate shoot and then we also spoke at their PVA. We'll be in Honolulu shooting a wedding and then for some very well-deserved R&R with the whole family. Detroit and Boston are still tentative for speaking at their PVA meetings. I've never been to Boston so that will be super exciting...keeping my fingers crossed on that one! Anyway, yes I do love to travel and have nailed down taking our gear (including a full 4-point lighting kit) to a science.

Do I love to travel....YES!! I'm hoping Chris and I will have enough miles and hotel points saved up to take a nice trip to Europe within the next year, because it's too expensive to be a hobby! LOL!! Anyway, the best part is because of VU and other forums/connections we've made over our lives we seem to know someone in just about every city and it's great to get together with people or sometimes get to meet someone face to face for the first time!
