HI Ryan

Most of the time, I'm able to connect my Edirol R4 directly up to the DJ's sound board, but sometimes that's not possible because either the DJ has a cheep board, or he hasn't got a clue. Sometimes it's both.

When I can't connect to the soundboard I'll set up a couple ambient mics connected to the R4, I'll mic a speaker stack running to the R4 channel 3, and I'll have the person giving the toasts to use my wireless mic which I have 2 receivers. I'll give one receiver to the DJ to plug up to his board, and I'll plug the other receiver up to my 4th channel on the R4.

I would like to find one of these mic splitters John is talking about, that sounds like a good option too!

Hey there, Ron.

Which mic and receivers are you using here? Identical receivers tuned to the same channel?

Hey... I use the Sennheiser Wireless Plug-In Transmitter and I have 3 of the G2 Receivers. One of the transmiter/receiver sets is the older G2 combo. I just have to remember to take the newer G2 receiver off of Pilot.
