Flash video Can't Post

I am building a web site that is flash based. I am a vegas 7 user. All of my finished work is kept as mpeg files on my hard drive
I want to be able to go through these mpegs and make flash clips from them to post on my site. Should I render out the sections to avi, then use another piece of software to convert the avi t flash, or is there a better way.
Any thoughts?

Thanks

If you're ignert like me and don't know al that Fash stuff, get a SmugMug account...they do it all for you. A Pro account ain't cheap, but for a cheap fokker like me it's totally worth it. I now code my online videos to H264 and upoad them to my SmugMug account, and they do the rest. I love it!

Be advised as I mentioned this before...if your clents/market is around a military/government installation, chances are their servers will block all flash-based sites....

Unless your NLE can produce flash video... you'll have to export them to AVI format as that's all most standalone encoders recognize.

But by encoding from, mpeg2 ---> avi ----> flv, there will be a loss in quality because you're going through so many generations of compression. Next time think ahead after each edit and maybe archive some choice clips to tape from your timeline in case you need to do this again.

If you keep your vids to a small display size you should be ok though.
