Help! Corrupted image Can't Post

Used a Z1 during ceremony and cannot get an image from the tape to capture unless I play fast forward during playback. Even then the image appears to be corrupted. All other tapes captured successfully from the same camera. The tapes are all Sony premium make

We have not seen this problem before and any help or advice would be appreciated.

Try it in another camera... those Sony HC1's did the same thing on me sporadically.

Hi Godfrey, I'm sorry to hear about this. Are you trying to capture from the same camera that recorded it? That sometimes helps, try as many different cameras as you can. 3 years ago something like this happened to me on about 20 minutes of the reception footage. It was a blockie portion running vertical of the left side of the screen. Couldn't fix it, hope someone hear can help. Take care Godfrey Smile

Hi Jerome

Very intersted in your response as it is an HC1 we are using for playback.

Did you manage to recover images from the tape and if so what did you use? Trying to playback on an FX1 has proved fruitless and we are trying to get hold of the Z1 used for recording.

Thanks Steve. Tape was checked before use but somehow got corrupted by Z1 head during bedekken and whole of chupah ;-((. The camera then self adjusted and recorded properly for rest of simcha. What a bummer!

Not sure how to tell B & G when back from honeymoon and trying to contact photographer to see if we can incorporate any of his photos. The irony is the B&G were persuaded by me to have a video - which they didnt want at first - but I dont quite see them looking at it that way.

Even Sony cant explain what went wrong with a tape having time code but no image..

Bit like my new machatunim hitting the deck with coronary one hour after the chupah last year. Strange things happen

I did manage to capture it... I put it in another HC1. It was when I was using 3 of them. It seemed like a fluke when it would happen, but changed cameras and it worked. hopefully it'll work with you. It would be good to try to use the Z1 that you filmed it with if you can't get anything to work.
