Its great acutally. I don't do the photos myself, only 2 hands you know, but the wife does all of the photography. It works out great for marketing and packaging vendors etc. I still work quite a bit on my own, but we do about 70% together. How about you?

we both have similar set ups. i do the video and my wife does the photography as well.

99% of everything we have been booking in the last few months have been our combo package. i hear from brides all the time that they like dealing with one vendor. works for me! working together gives us so much more control through out the day - less stress!

i only have one package that offers both services but in looking at your web site you gave me an idea. i need to have a couple of other packages - lower priced. sometimes we end up taking stuff out - thus customizing the package to fit their budget. it would be cool to give them more options.

why did you decide on Canon cameras?

Re: [robcg] I am selling my cameras [In reply to] Can't Post

I am starting to do some commericals. The company I am currently working with uses the HVX200 at 24P or 30P, so I needed something to approximate that, and I figured that the A1 had enough customization that with afew tweaks, we could get a decent HVXlike look out of it. At the same time; the reason why I didn't get an HVX was that my main business is weddings, and I needed a cam that could function well in low-light. I hadn't really considered the V1 for some reason even though there are many people here that use it to a great result. The other major determining factor was that I got a really good deal on 2 used A1s. I have about 1 month to get ready for my first weddings with it. So, hopefully that will be enough.

Re: [Bill Grant] I am selling my cameras [In reply to] Can't Post

i know the low light is not that good on the V1 and its something that i will need to somehow overcome. i will need some new lights and learn how to tweak it.

another reason was that i was tired of shooting 4:3. i needed a change and i love widescreen. im also embarking on a dream of mine - doing a documentary. i am debating whether to shoot 24p or not. i have been researching it and it seems like a big headache to edit and get it to look right. maybe you can give me some tips when the time comes.

We offer two packages that offer both photography and video, the price is more than double what our largest photography package was last year, we were just throwing it out there. 75% of our weddings have been including video. I would have never guessed that brides around here would have paid that kind of money, especially when many decent photogs offer full day coverage, full res CD of touched up images for right at 1K. I wouldnt even do the photography formals for that.

We do have an advantage, there is no one offering video in our area. We too see a lot of brides wanting dual coverage.
