It took place in a dance club that was converted from an old theatre. People were dancing on 3 levels. There was 20,000 watts of audio pumping and the DJ never said a word.

i bet that was cool - never a lack of having an interesting angle.

It was pretty cool but at the beginning of the dancing time only the main dance floor (the old stage) was open and it was so packed all I could do was wander around the periphery, squeezing through people, and get shots overhead. There was some crazy stuff going on in the middle with individuals in the middle of a circle of people bustin' it. I couldn't see or get to some of it. When the lower dance floor (the old orchestra pit) opened up is leaned out and I started getting lots better angles and footage. I was worried at first that their dance video was all going to be overhead shots. What was funny was the groom and his guys were the dancers more than the girls. The groom was the one standing on a table gyrating in the video...he was up in a box set up high along a wall on one side. If he had slipped and fell it was at least 20 feet to the bottom...wouldn't have been pretty.

THat place has now been closed because of too many problems with crowd control. It has been converted into a theatre of sorts again. It was a fun night but my ears rang for a few hours when I left. I got ear plugs after that one.

I created this a couple of years ago.. found it on my computer and re-encoded it to .wmv... the quality degraded a bit but I guess its good enough. Thje audio was sped up a bit for effect.

A funny story along with that clip.. shortly after creating it, I had a consultation with a bride, her MIL, the MOB and the sister.. they came by to see some of my work.. being proud of this creation.. I showed it to them...... well... I did not get the booking.. I think they were a little shocked... Lesson learned in marketing.
