Legal Music Options Can't Post

So in a round-a-bout way today I wound up at Triple Scoop's website and lo and behold there are two collections that caught my eye!

http://www.triplescoopmusic.com/...ndy-stubbs-Vol1.aspx

http://www.triplescoopmusic.com/...eff-wright-vol1.aspx

Am I the last person to know about these?? Or maybe they were announced at Video 08 and I didn't notice because I was having too much fun?? Anyway, there are some good songs on here and I'll definitely be considering these collections for some upcoming projects, especially if it helps out some great videographers (if they get some sort of royalty or something). It's nice to see some decent music options (especially for corporate clients) coming out lately! Just thought I'd share!

Yeah there are some real nice music options here.
I purchased the collection by Kevin Kubotah and Jerry Ghionis. They are real good collections.
I almost picked up Jeff's collection, but the music just didn't fit my style. Listen to the song Cup O Joe, I love using this in pieces.

Hmm... Some of the music is good but the lyrics.... I guess I'd rather be illegal than be that cheesey...Unsure

Hey its for wedding video...weddings aren't cheesy. Wink
Some of the songs are cheesy and schlock if you ask me.
But there are also some very classic sounding original songs (very Sinatra like) that can be used if desired to create a very classy wedding piece.
And as I said some songs like "Cup O Joe" are very light and energetic (very Colbie Callait) which I currently love to use in my edits (for prep or highlights).
Overall I tend to use all natural audio from the day (music) in the main edit, and only rely on premade music for the openings and maybe highlights.

I chatted with Randy about it the other day and he said they give you versions with and without lyrics.

As nice as that might be I still would rather use songs that mean something to the couple... Smile

Cheers,

I agree. Guess I'm just thinking more along the lines of corporate work or website stuff if that becomes an issue. I know there are people looking for royalty free to post videos on You Tube and what-not. Just another option out there. :)

For corporate stuff I've actually been pretty happy with digital juice stuff... It took me forever to cherry pick the tunes I wanted and wait for their rediculous deals but I like the stuff I've ended up with... I think I ended up with 8 or 9 of their titles for under $50... they had that $4.99 deal going on a while back... Also I got a couple on closeout for $9.99. They're layered so I can turn off different instruments to get different mixes..

Those videographer signature CDs things are kind of exploitive to me..no offense to the people who's names are on them...I would do the same if I thought I could make a buck.. to me it's kind of a rip off though... I kinda doubt those people even actually use that music....
